Is This Thing Still On?

Third time’s the charm right? I’ve never really done anything with this domain and although the website itself has gone through a few aesthetic changes throughout the years, the few posts that did go up were promptly taken down not long after. In a way it was like one of those limited drops that are all the rage these days with the youths but with my random nonsense as opposed to something useful like sneakers that come with a Dremel.

A big part of the back and forth was because I only really ever came to work on here when I was “Going Through It” and as my situations either improved or changed I just didn’t have time to keep up with the ideas I had for TappedLands at the time. I’d revisit, not like what I’d written previously, and want to start over with some new goal or maybe a modified view of the last goal. TappedLands was always a means to some goal and I think that’s ultimately what lead to me just never really adopting it as my own space because there was a pressure for it to always be in a different state.

But the Internet is significantly worse than it was 10 years ago (when I started this blog) and in some ways is lacking some of the resources and communities we had during the 2000-2010s. These smaller independent websites need to exist for a healthy Internet. We need more spaces under our own control as citizens of a global network. TappedLands isn’t going to be anything revolutionary (c’mon it’s just a blog) but at least here I can post what I want.

Let’s figure out what this place can be together.
